A Spanish app developed by Encode (Bilbao) in 2014 to facilitate the memorization of vocabulary or correct frequent misspellings. At first, language learning environments were thought about, but there are already people who use it to correct dyslexia. Lixta creates four interactive activities to memorize effortlessly. It is enough to write all the words that are needed, Lixta will group them to work them ten by ten. With the Downloads function, users can access a ‘lixtado’ database with works already prepared by other users. The search menu allows you to filter the lixtados by: source language, target language, type, title or keywords (tags). Before downloading, you can check its content and decide if it is what is needed. It greatly facilitates learning, since you learn by playing through interactive activities. Lixta is available in several languages: Spanish, Basque, Catalan, English, French, German and Italian. Available on Android and also on iOS, it costs 2.99 euros to download.

Junta de Andalucía

The regional Ministry of Education has a special section to deal with issues arising from the various learning difficulties that may appear in some students and for this it offers support to teachers at different levels, especially with downloadable guides. Of the different NEAE (specific needs for educational support), dyslexia is one of the most common, reaching 10% of students. It can also present specificities such as dysgraphia, dysortography or dyscalculia, but with adequate follow-up both at home and at school, it is solved in a high percentage of cases.

Fundación Aprender

This concerted center is an innovative educational project of the Fundación Aprender with a methodology that is valid for all and adequate to address Specific Learning Difficulties (DEAs): dyslexia, dyscalculia and attention deficit, among others, in a way that helps this type of Students to develop fully and avoid school failure. “The purpose is to reach the marked curricular content but by another way. We do not modify the knowledge but the way to get to it ”, they point out, following Decroly’s methodology. For this, it is necessary to awaken and maintain the pleasure to learn for himself in the student, as well as having trained and motivated teachers. “The school should be a place where you want to be and want to stay, and students can go as far as they want, not as far as the system allows it.”
